Tyson McGuffin

Tyson McGuffin is professional pickleball's biggest personality, a spiked-hair, no-shirt-wearing force of nature that Barstool Sports dubbed "the most electrifying man in sports." The youngest of seven kids in a wrestling family from Idaho, McGuffin grew up with a dad who coached wrestling and made his sons get out of the van every 200 miles on road trips to run a mile on the side of the freeway. He escaped the singlet life by discovering tennis at 12, taught tennis for 15 years, then got absolutely destroyed by recreational pickleball players at a YMCA in 2015 and never looked back. He plays for the Phoenix Flames in MLP and is sponsored by Skechers (who built him a custom shoe) and JOOLA, who gave him his own signature Magnus paddle line.

He also runs The McGuffin Show podcast and posts regularly on Instagram @tysonmcguffin. With multiple Grand Slam and National Championship titles, McGuffin brings a wrestling mentality to every match, which explains why he treats pickleball courts like they're mats.
